Cookie policy

This site on unhostcampus.com uses cookies and similar technologies so the platform works correctly and the experience is smoother. Cookies are small text files stored in your browser that help us recognise authorised users and protect session integrity. By using our site and API documentation you agree to storing these files in line with your browser settings and this policy.

01 Required for function

Technical and necessary cookies

These files are critical for basic site function and cannot be switched off in our systems, because without them we cannot keep a secure login to the API portal. They keep your session, remember language and protect forms against abuse — for example CSRF. They do not store personally identifiable information about you and are usually deleted when the browser closes or the session expires.

Always on Cannot be disabled — required for login and CSRF protection.
02 Anonymised

Analytics cookies to improve the service

We use anonymised analytics to see how visitors use technical documentation and the site. That helps us find unclear sections or technical trouble. Data is collected in aggregate, so we cannot identify an individual — we only watch overall usage trends and places to improve the docs.

Optional Can be disabled in browser settings without affecting function.
03 User control

Managing cookies in the browser

Most modern browsers let you manage cookies in settings — disable, limit or clear history. If you block necessary cookies, parts of UnhostCampus and the developer portal may not work, especially API-portal login and form submit. See your browser help for cookie controls.

Without necessary cookies

Login, CSRF protection and language preference will stop working. The API portal will be unreachable.

Without analytics cookies

The platform will work normally. We will lose visibility of which documentation parts need improvement.

04 External sources

Third parties and external content

Some parts of the site may use widgets or content from external sources — maps or payment gateways — that set their own cookies. Those third-party cookies are governed by the providers’ policies and we do not control them directly. Read those parties’ policies on their sites if you want to know how they handle your data. Any payment gateway is a separate partner; UnhostCampus is not a bank.

05 Storage period

Cookie storage period

How long cookies stay on your device depends on whether they are session or persistent. Session cookies are temporary and last until you leave the site. Persistent cookies stay longer — weeks to months — or until you remove them. We use persistent cookies, for example, to remember preferences on repeat visits to the docs.

Session

Deleted when the browser closes. Only temporary data needed for the running session is kept.

Persistent

Stored for weeks to months. They remember interface preferences and documentation display settings.

06 Legal framework

Consent and legal framework

On the first visit a bar explains cookie use and lets you consent or adjust settings. Our cookie practices follow the Electronic Communications Act and the EU ePrivacy Directive. For technical questions about which cookies we use, contact our support address.
