Experienced developers for modern education
UnhostCampus is not an anonymous software product but the result of long work and a vision from a team inside Základní škola Unhošť. Our mission is to bridge complex school-infrastructure needs and modern technical standards.
Origin in a real school
The platform’s history started inside ZŠ Unhošť, where fragmented systems for meals, assets and attendance were inefficient. Instead of buying more incompatible tools we built our own API layer to unify those processes.
That let us test every feature in live operation and tune it so it actually helps teachers and administration day to day. Every module has seen a real school year — from enrolling new pupils to summer asset inventory.
We believe good school software must be born inside education, not in isolated corporate offices that do not know classrooms and staff rooms. So we stay part of the school — not only as a vendor, but as colleagues who use our own product every day.
Our values: openness and security
We build on transparency, so the product sits on open API standards that make data exchange straightforward. Student security and privacy are the highest priority, and every architectural decision in the platform follows that.
Open APIs
Every endpoint is documented, versioned and tested. Partners can extend the integration without depending on closed code.
Privacy protection
Student personal data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to sensitive records is logged and bound to roles.
Partnership approach
We are not only a code vendor but a partner responsible for the integrity and availability of key school data.
A team of experts and teachers
Our team mixes experienced software architects, system administrators and teaching staff who together set the platform’s direction. That combination lets us build tools that are technically strong and still usable and pedagogically meaningful.
We regularly review new features with teachers and school leadership so the API solves real problems, not hypothetical ones. When a teacher reports a delay posting a meal credit, we actually know her by name — and which class she teaches.
Why choose UnhostCampus
Choosing our platform means a solution proven in practice and designed for Czech schools, including local law. Unlike multinational ERP systems we offer a personal approach and the ability to react quickly to each institution.
The goal is not only to sell a licence but to build a community of schools that share digital infrastructure and help each other develop. When one partner school asks for a new asset-record report, the rest of the community gets the same feature at no extra cost.
A long-term vision for school digitalisation
We see a future where the school is a connected organism and technology frees people instead of adding barriers. UnhostCampus is a foundation of that vision — schools can build their own services and projects on it without being locked into closed systems.
We watch global EdTech trends and bring the useful ones into our API so partner schools stay a step ahead. That means standards such as OAuth 2.0 for federated login or REST for predictable integration — not chasing fashionable buzzwords.
Sustainability and the platform’s future
We develop UnhostCampus as a durable project with a clear roadmap, not dependent on short-term grants. Funding sits on a healthy SaaS model that lets us invest in strong developers and modern server infrastructure.
For schools that means the platform will still exist, grow and be supported in five or ten years — which matters for strategic IT investment. Independence from political cycles is a deliberate choice, not an accident.
Working with technology partners
School digitalisation is a complex job, so we work closely with hardware vendors, ID-card manufacturers and information-system makers. Those partnerships keep UnhostCampus reliable across a wide range of setups, and integrating a new device is a matter of days, not months.
We support a developer ecosystem that builds on our API, which keeps raising the platform’s value for the end user. If your school uses specific reader hardware or its own SIS, a connector probably already exists — or we will build it together.
Hardware vendors
Card readers, canteen terminals and label printers certified for our API.
ID-card manufacturers
Card personalisation and encoding linked directly to the student and staff database.
Information-system makers
Two-way sync with existing school information systems and pupil registers.
A commitment to local development
Our ambitions go beyond the region, but we stay proudly tied to Unhošť and Středočeský kraj, where the path started. We support digital skills nearby and want to show that a state school can still produce a strong technical product with international potential.
We believe in local innovation and that the best solutions for Czech schools are born here, with a full grasp of local context — from statutory pupil records to how subsidised catering actually works.
Let’s talk about your data
If you are considering integrating a school ERP with our API, we will discuss technical detail and concrete rollout scenarios. You will find our seat in Unhošť; we reply during business hours.
